Bhagavan Ishaya

Guillermo de la Rosa Janeiro (Santiago de Cuba 1969) Better known in the artistic field as Bhagavan Ishaya

Actor, writer, humorist, photographer, producer and director of film, radio and television.

As instructor of Yoga, Martial Arts and master of Ascension of the Ishayas, he has linked these disciplines to artistic creation from a space of stillness and resilience.

Graduated with honors from the Higher Institute of Art, he has made numerous audiovisual works including spots, documentaries, fiction shorts and music videos.

Bagavan has a master's degree in Mindfulness techniques.

Member of the audiovisual production company Lía Videos specialized in streaming in which he has practiced his profession for more than 20 years as a screenwriter, cameraman, studio coordinator and director, he has also directed programs on the local television of his native Santiago de Cuba.

Bhagavan started professionally in acting in the Experimental Youth Theater Group.

Founder of the group Humore Mío with which he won several awards at humor festivals, performing on almost all the most important stages in Cuba and touring Spain with Los Caminos de Santiago project under the sponsorship of the Xunta de Galicia.

As an actor Bhagavan has participated in plays, fiction shorts, movies and video clips.

He has been a juror at several radio, film, television and theater festivals.

As a teacher, he has taught acting and video production courses in Cuba and the Dominican Republic.

As Ishaya teacher, has taught in Cuba, Spain, the Basque Country and the United States.

His poems and other texts have been published in journals and poetic anthologies from Colombia, Costa Rica, Spain and Cuba.

His most recent publication is " The Book that won't Change your Life" from the publisher Roque Libros (Netherlands) for sale on Amazon.

As a photographer he has participated in collective exhibitions in Cuba, the Dominican Republic, French Guiana, Spain and the United States. His photographs are part of private collections in several countries.
