Anthony Lorusso

Anthony Lorusso is an Italian-American food writer on a mission to bring authentic Italian flavors to home kitchens everywhere.

Born and raised in Maine, he grew up immersed in the rich culinary traditions of his heritage, blending old-world flavors with modern life in the United States.

Driven by a passion for genuine ingredients and time-honored techniques, he made the bold decision to move to Italy with his wife and children. There, he embraced the Mediterranean way of life, deepening his understanding of regional cuisine and its cultural significance.

After publishing two successful cookbooks on Mediterranean-inspired diets, he has completed his most ambitious project: a series celebrating Italy’s most authentic dishes. Through these books, he shares not just recipes, but the stories, history, and heart behind each meal.

His travels through Italy have not only enriched his culinary knowledge but also sparked the inspiration for a novel intertwining food, love, and mystery—a project that blends his passion for storytelling with his deep appreciation for Italian gastronomy.

When he’s not cooking or writing, Anthony explores Italy’s countryside, visits bustling markets, and perfects family recipes—because for him, food is more than sustenance; it’s a connection to the past, a celebration of life, and a way to bring people together.
