Michael K. Thompson

As a highly successful coach, Michael's experience includes 25 years coaching high school football and 20+ years coaching fastpitch softball with his school and summer travel teams. He was inducted into the Michigan High School Softball Coaches Hall of Fame in 2016.

As the owner of Great Lakes Sports Leadership, he is a licensed sports leadership facilitator. He works with coaches and student-athletes to develop leadership skills, accountability, character development, responsibility, and team building. He also hosts the 'Leadership Matters' podcast, sharing his insights on effective leadership and championship team cultures.

He co-authored his first book, The Softball Trip, with Jamy Bechler in 2024.

Michael teaches English at Frankfort High School in Frankfort, Michigan.
