Rekha Taparia

Born in India and having lived in Canada, Indonesia, and Singapore, Rekha Taparia draws inspiration from the diverse cultures she’s experienced and brings a global perspective to her storytelling. A former educator with over two decades of experience, she specialized in literacy development and English as an Additional Language (EAL). Now retired and living in Canada, Rekha has embraced her roles as a grandmother and children’s author. Her debut book, Ishaan And Alia’s Night Of The Fireflies, began as a birthday gift for her grandson and celebrates exploration, discovery, and the wonders of nature. Rekha is dedicated to creating engaging stories that inspire children to imagine, learn, and explore the world through literature.
