The Vancouver Island Series, three novels, involve romance, danger, mystery and faith. Book One, His Unfolding Plan, introduces Kate Grayson, a twenty-six-year-old teacher who has a plan in place that involves establishing her teaching career, a relationship with a new boyfriend and writing books for children. The sudden death of both parents puts her into a season of grief. An unexpected trip to Vancouver Island to meet her grandmother for the first time changes all her plans. Her willingness to forgive, put aside her anger and continue to trust God helps her see a new plan emerging.
Book 2 in the series, Snatching Our Treasures, involves romance, danger, mystery and faith and continues to be about the Graysons and how they respond to finding a fourteen-year-old girl hiding in their toolshed after escaping from human traffickers. Two Mexican girls, lured by the promise of jobs in Canada, also escape from the traffickers and end up on the Grayson Estate. With the help of Garth Ellsworth, a private investigator, security is beefed up on the estate, but they quickly realize that their safety is ultimately in the hands of God.
Book 3, Nothing to Fear: Christmas is approaching, and so is Paul and Kate's wedding on Vancouver Island. Unfortunately, at a time when the Graysons and their friends should be enjoying the season, problems arise in each of their lives. Unless faith is substituted for fear, our problems start to look immense, and we forget how great our God is.
