Gary S. Linebarger

Gary Linebarger has been a translator of Chinese for almost sixty years. He earned advanced degrees at San Francisco State University, the University of Birmingham in the UK, and Dharma Realm Buddhist University in northern California. He is a founding member of the Buddhist Text Translation Society, and he taught in China from 2005 to 2021 at United International College and Wenzhou Kean University. He now lives in Nanning, Guangxi, China where he continues his translation work.
