Matt Simmons

George Matt Simmons was raised in Rochester and Prattsburgh in western New York before enlisting in the US Navy as an Aviation Administrator, serving in Japan and then Jacksonville, Florida while assigned to two aircraft carriers. His naval background provided valuable experience in correspondence, analysis, and quality assurance. Matt completed his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration while serving his country, and then transitioned to civilian life with an Honorable Discharge. He spent the following 30 years in the surgical device field in sales and management and also formed, expanded and sold a small business.

Matt spends his time firing and rehiring himself while running two newer small businesses. He also enjoys golfing, boating, fishing, and traveling, along with his love of writing. Matt and his wife Carol live in south Florida and share great pride in their three children's success and achievements. The purpose in his literary work is in helping others and he will continue to search out ideas that can have a positive influence.
