I am not a scholar, scientist, or theologian standing at the podium; rather, I am the one in the audience, observing and listening. As a retired Army sergeant with 20 years of service, including a stint in Desert Storm with the Combat Air Brigade of the 3rd Armored Division, I would describe myself as an average soldier. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in computers and have worked for the Mississippi Department of Transportation for over 20 years.
While I have explored various topics in religion and science, I do not claim to be an expert in either field. Many of my friends, some of whom are not Christian, have asked me questions about my beliefs and faith. Over the years, I have done my best to provide thoughtful answers, and I found myself addressing similar questions from Christian friends as well. This prompted me to start writing down these questions and my responses, seeking clearer explanations along the way.
