Wesley Winters

Wesley Winters first entered the independent publishing scene in 2019 as Aiden Merchant with two story collections released several months apart. He went on to write more than a hundred stories and poems—including the crime fiction novella Crossing Red and the extreme collection Horrific Holidays—before breaking away from Merchant to try other things under the guise of several unknown aliases.

Wesley Winters was first introduced in 2023 in the anthologies HorrorScope: Volume 2 and That Old House: The Bathroom (Part 2) before Nobody’s Savior reached publication in 2024 with Slashic Horror Press. That collection was followed a year later by Feed the Sky, the first entry in an extreme horror trilogy called The Fucked, as well as another collection of horror fiction and poetry called From the Flood. Several months later, he decided to bring all his work together under the Winters’ name, as he was no longer concerned with using different aliases to publish his varied fiction and nonfiction projects.

Winters was born at the tail end of the 80s and grew up in the 90s alongside the Chesapeake Bay. He first started writing professionally as a music journalist, appearing in a variety of international magazines, before then jumping into fiction a decade later. He is a married man with three children. His many personalities never cease to leave him alone, but he tries not to talk to them in public.
