Suzanne Lang

I’m Suzanne Lang, author and illustrator at The Moon Garden, located in Adelaide, South Australia.

My love of art, writing, music and interest in herbs, complimentary healing and spirituality offer a rich source for ideas that, naturally, influence my stories. Training as a meditation teacher and creating guided meditations also provides a firm foundation for storytelling.

My childhood in the Adelaide Hills established an interest in care of the environment, wildlife and the planet therefore the connection between Nature and child is the soul essence underlying most of my stories. “Salito Finds the Beauty of the World” reflects this essence. I believe children’s access to Nature calms their emotions, stimulates their mind and cultivates patience, courage, empathy and compassion.

I write for children that love stories with beautiful illustrations that have heart and soul, that bring hope and joy, and that inspire confidence, a curious mind and an open heart.
