Jeff Lefkoff

Jeff Lefkoff was raised in the tight-knit Jewish community of Atlanta, active in BBYO and JCC summer camp. He was a young man in 1980 when he moved to Miami and met his four great uncles. Story fragments from their childhood, supplemented by extensive historical research into early 20th-century Brooklyn, became the inspiration for this novel. The book’s themes include the multi-generational impact of the diaspora from eastern Europe, assimilation and Jewish identity in modern America, and the spiritual inheritance we can receive from our family.
