DR. JAVIER E SANCHEZ

I was born in Girardot, Cundinamarca, into a family marked by dysfunction and adversity—a childhood shadowed by rejection from my father and sisters. Yet, within that hardship, a fire was kindled. The very pain that could have broken me instead became the forge in which my resilience was shaped.

I was raised in the sun-soaked city of Flandes, Tolima—known as the “Golden Gate of Tolima”—where my grandmother, mother, and aunts laid the foundation for a new beginning. It was there, amidst dust and dreams, that I learned to navigate life with courage, ingenuity, and the quiet strength born of survival.

After serving for over two decades in the National Police of Colombia, life took a profound turn. I encountered Jesus Christ—and in that sacred moment, everything changed. My heart, my mind, my very purpose was transformed.

Eventually, my family and I emigrated to the United States. In this new land, I devoted myself to the two great callings of my life: writing and the study of the Word of God. Today, I serve as pastor of the International Ministry Road to Damascus and lead the MICAD HEALTH FOUNDATION, a non-profit organization dedicated to rescuing lives from the chains of addiction.

My published works include A Life of Testimony, A World of Deceptions, and several practical manuals for Christian institutions—each one born of experience, faith, and a deep desire to bring light where there is darkness. Writing is more than expression for me—it is a mission, a calling to awaken, heal, and inspire.

My wife Ledy and our two beloved children are the pillars of my life and the heartbeat behind my calling. Through every word I write and every life we touch, I aspire to be a voice of hope—a reminder that no matter how deep the valley, there is always a road that leads to redemption.
