Cody Bratsch

Cody Bratsch was born on May 15th, 1991 and grew up in a golden age of media and pop culture entertainment in movies, TV, video games, novels, comic books, and more. Being exposed to some of the most captivating stories ever told filled with memorable characters made Cody a lifelong fan of large-than-life storytelling in fiction. From cartoons to dinosaurs to superheroes, grand adventure, spectacular sci-fi, and monster-infested thrills, he loved it all. Of course the stories that caught his eye the most were those of the daikaiju variety featuring monsters as big as skyscrapers towering over humanity and battling to the death over rank, power, vengeance, and more. Most especially, Cody enjoys such kaiju stories belonging to the iconic Godzilla film franchise (the Big G is still his favorite character in fiction to this day).

All this and more left a huge impact on Cody and inspired him to want to tell such grand tales of his own, thus he soon set out to do so. His first break came in 2017 when veteran kaiju writer, Matthew Dennion sent out a call asking for new and aspiring kaiju authors to submit stories for an anthology book that would become the first volume in the ATTACK OF THE KAIJU book series. Since then, Cody Bratsch has contributed many more short stories, several of which can be found in the pages of numerous anthologies published by up and coming indie-label, WILD HUNT PRESS. However, Cody's ambitions go far beyond short stories, having recently published his first full-length novel, ZERNOCIA: RISE OF THE GUARDIAN, the first in a planned series of books. Many other books under various differing titles are sure to follow in the near future, for Cody's love for the art of storytelling would not let it be any other way.

Cody currently lives in Washington state, having been born and raised there.
