Since 1980, Tom has been working in the aviation field. He has worked in avionics repair & installation, managed repair stations, and taught aviation maintenance subjects. Retired from Pennsylvania College of Technology (A Pennsylvania State University Affiliate) as an Associate Professor, Inman taught avionics, human factors safety, and project management.
Tom was a member of the original group of industry and education professionals who developed the ASTM/National Center for Aerospace Technician Training Aircraft Electronics Technician (AET) certification. He continued working with NCATT for several years developing the endorsements to the AET.
Inman holds a pilot's license with an instrument rating, and a Ground Instructor's License.
Tom has travelled the world, and enjoyed a wide variety of interests, including grass roots motorsports, amateur radio, ballroom dancing, and kayaking.
