Diane Schaffer

Diane's early, mainly barefoot, life on a farm in South Africa with her imaginary friend 'Anne' for company, helped encourage her vivid imagination. It also gave her a deep love of nature, wildlife, all things outdoorsy and reading.

Inspired by the quirky animal facts her daughter regaled her with while she was studying for her vetinerinarian degree, she teamed up with her dear friend, the artist Georgina Hart, to illustrate and create a visually beautiful book to inspire imaginative , fun and playful learning experiences for kids.

Diane is amongst other things, a self professed plant geek and avid gardener, Mum of 3 adult kids and Grandmother to two beautiful grandchildren.She shares her time between Sydney and the UK.
