Lucy Doncaster

I’ve been lucky enough to work in book publishing for more than 20 years. During this time I’ve written, ghost-written, edited, proofread, designed and project managed hundreds of fiction and non-fiction books for both adults and children.

Writing projects range from foraging, forensics and mysteries of the unexplained, to cookery, the British royal family and puzzle books. Seven of my children's puzzle books will be out in 2026. For Puffin: A Box Full of Murders: The Puzzle Book (co-written with Janice Hallett); The Harry Styles Puzzle Book; and Colour Your Streets: London (alongside Colour Your Streets). For Arcturus Publishing: Puzzle Adventures: Space; Puzzle Adventures: Dinosaurs; Puzzle Adventures: Spies; and Puzzle Adventures: Jungle.

When I’m not glued to my computer, I’m usually to be found hiking with my family and dog, reading novels with the ‘assistance’ of my two cats, listening to music or doing cryptic crosswords.
