Lin Frye

Lin wrote her first poem when she was 10, and has been writing for decades. Her focus is non-fiction, especially natural history, She's written for magazines, newspapers, the Sierra Club and local chapters of the Audubon. Her poetry has also been published in similar media.

To continue her creative expression, she's added watercolors, and continues her love for journal writing and illustration. Her work is inspired by the things she loves – the land, trees, flowers, gardens, Italy, family.

Lin is a trained ethnobotanist, someone who studies the relationship between plants and people. She's worked as a department head, faculty member, instructor, program director, wife, sister, mom. She currently teaches watercolor and journaling.
