McKenna Shaffer

McKenna Shaffer is an illustrator and background artist whose faithful companion is a 4-year-old English Shepherd named, you guessed it, Otis! McKenna's first illustrated book was "God's Servant Ruth" written by Douglas Bond and published by P&R Publishers. She was also a background artist on Apple TV's "Central Park" series, "The Bob's Burgers Movie", and Warner Bros. animated feature, "The Day the Earth Blew Up."

Born in Los Angeles, California, McKenna spent her childhood in Montreal, Quebec. She graduated from Concordia University with a BA in Painting and Drawing and a minor in Animation. The myriad of animals she has raised over the years serve as a large inspiration for her books. She spends her free time tending her many gardens and caring for her six chickens while Otis fends off imaginary squirrels from the pear trees.
