I'm a post war baby. The second war that is. Born in Lancashire in England, and apart from a few years in the London and Oxford area have lived here all the time. I'm married and have two large dogs, which together takes up most of my time, and keeps me in check.
I've been writing for about forty years but only recently decided to take the plunge and try to get something published - hence the first book "Quinn - Sometimes times is not the great healer." More to follow in time, I hope. If there is enough time left....
I've travelled around most of the world during the course of my work and in doing research into family history. But that's another story.
I spent 15 years as a Police officer in the Lancashire area and left following an accident. Next 12 years in International Logistics then bits of other rubbish jobs. The last years of my working life were spent teaching people how to use computers in a local government facility. Really enjoyable job, really rotten organisation.
Ten years spent as a volunteer with a patient user group in a University in Lancashire teaching social workers, nurses and para medics what it is like to be on the receiving end of their professions. Eye opener!!
Had the One In Four affliction of cancer some time ago, now recovered and being monitored.
I have two and a half more books finished, so perhaps when the fourth one is compete I might get around to publishing it.
That is if my co-authors (two large dogs) give me a hand in publishing them.
