Grace Yan

Grace is a California highschool senior who loves anything related to words, cats, and the color purple. Her stories commonly include magical realism, coming of age themes, slice of life, and (just a sprinkle of) cosmic horror.

She’s been writing since the age of 7 and has a haunted mental basement full of unfinished stories, from which she recycles ideas and names, but mostly names.

If Grace does not write for a single day—which happens more often than not due to the erratic fever dream called “highschool”—a brain-shaped fairy with a voice of Mickey Mouse will keep her awake until 3 am by whispering ideas in her ear.
