The horizon lay before me, farther than I remembered it. For a moment, I thought I was looking out over the same great water as before, yet with every breath, new paths seemed to reveal themselves within it. Some led far into the distance, while others faded away again after only a few steps.

I did not have to walk every one of them.

It was enough simply to be able to see them.

And so I began to choose, to hold on, to discard, and sometimes to carry forward something I might never have discovered on my own. Possibilities became thoughts, thoughts became worlds, and some of them eventually became something of their own.

The horizon had remained the same.

Only now did I see how far it truly reached.
