Shelley Castle is a devoted mum of two, a driven primary school teacher and a budding author, who captures children’s imagination and creativity while developing their vocabulary in fun and adventurous stories.
Drawing from her experience as a primary school teacher, Shelley crafts tales that not only entertain but also educate and inspire. Her keen insight into the minds of young children stems from her hands-on work with them, both as a teacher and as a mother. It is this deep connection with the younger generation that infuses her writing with authenticity and warmth.
Shelley loves to explore, and uses her experiences within different countries, cultures and communities to bring depth and meaning to her tales. She has worked in the USA and Australia and for several children’s charity projects across Africa, but now she has settled into a teaching career and mum-life in Milton Keynes, UK, with her husband, daughter, son and cocker spaniel.
