J.M. Benavidez Estoque is a Filipino lawyer, poet, essayist, and writer on Law and Philosophy born in Zambales and raised in Bulacan, where he developed an early love for literature and philosophy. A magna cum laude graduate in Psychology from St. Joseph’s College, Quezon City, he also earned a Post-Graduate degree from the University of the Philippines–Diliman and a Juris Doctor from Manuel L. Quezon University. A fellow of LIRA under National Artist Virgilio Almario and an award-winning essayist, he has served in government for over a decade while continuing his work as a writer, musician, and advocate of Social Conservatism. Despite living with moderate hearing loss, he remains devoted to exploring the moral and intellectual foundations of society through his writings.
