Christopher Mena

Dr. Christopher Mena is an antiracist music educator and scholar who is deeply interested in decolonization in music education spaces. His dissertation research focused specifically on the historical exclusion of Mexican Americans in music education. Currently, he is researching the mechanisms of marginalization of ELL and newcomer students and their limited access to the arts.
