Manizeh Mirza-Gruber

Manizeh Mirza-Gruber, MD is a board-certified psychiatrist (ABPN), mindfulness teacher, mindfulness mentor, and an ordained animal chaplain. She is the author and illustrator of the bestselling children’s picture book, Mama, I Will Send You a Purple Flower.

Manizeh understands firsthand how it feels to be nervous and scared. She has worked for several decades providing caring support and guidance to children, adolescents, and adults, as they navigate feelings of fear, anxiety, and depression.

Her purpose is to guide others with kindness, compassion, and non-judgement, and she continues to create a space for sharing and belonging for all beings everywhere.

Manizeh lives in Houston with her husband and their two companion animals. Leaving a legacy for her two grown children and this world is her inspiration to continue writing and illustrating.

A portion of the sales from each book will be donated to support emotional well-being for all, especially within underserved communities and the unhoused.
