Mark Moriarty

I was born in Adelaide, South Australia, during the night of 23 October 1953. I enjoyed my young life and endured schooling as best as anyone could during the 1960s. I left home when I was 18 and moved into New South Wales and studied as a primary school teacher. I taught for 15 years in a couple of places then became an Education Officer for the Catholic Education Office of Wagga Wagga. I helped teachers teach, monitored their curriculum and trained many in the use of computers and the internet. I also edited and published a few curriculum magazines for the teachers each school term for several years before everything went online.

I retired when I was 65 and decided to write a book or two. First I drew a comic called, Budge the Budgerigar. I wrote 82 weeks of these when I was a teenager. I redrew them all on my iPad.

I then decided to write my first novel, a fantasy, based on an idea and rough draft that I wrote over 40 years ago. But due to work and family life, I never had the time to write. Now I have. It is called Dahlin His Journey, a short but interesting story (as my grandchildren called it). I have started on its sequel, to be called Dahlin the Rescue.
