David Willans is a writer and speaker on fatherhood and patient parenting. In 2014, he founded Being Dads, a platform for exploring how to be a better father after recognising his own struggles with impatience and parenting frustration. David's spent over a decade researching and experimenting on how to improve his patience and parenting. His work combines insights from parenting psychology, neuroscience and therapeutic parenting, with his work in behavior change (David sat on the United Nations Sustainable Lifestyles Taskforce), plus learning from other parents who want to do their best by their children.
He is an Associate at the Fatherhood Institute and has worked with parenting organizations globally, helping parents build stronger, more connected relationships with their children. David’s workshops and writing have helped thousands of parents worldwide.
