Sally Kaczynski

Sally is a teaching artist with more than 30 years experience, focused on community development of programs for youth. As an award winning theater teacher at an inner city arts magnet high school in New Haven, CT for19 years, she worked with hundreds of students and specialized in curriculum development, team building and the use of the play as a tool for learning. Sally has collaborated with many community partners such as Long Wharf Theater, Yale Drama School, Beinecke Rare Book Library, O'Neill at Yale Playwriting project, Yale British Art Museum, and the Pathways Summer Program at Yale. During the pandemic, Sally wrote a few lines to match activities she had watched her children, and their children, repeat as they engaged in free play. Her good friend and artist, Margot Rocklen, agreed to send sketches that Sally's word elicited. Together, they decided to collaborate and develop, All in a Day's Play.
