James Grills

Jim Grills embarked on his coaching journey to connect with and support his sons in the sports they loved. When the manager of their soccer team for five- and six-year-olds asked for assistance, Jim hesitantly agreed despite his lack of experience. He quickly learned the ropes and excelled in his new role.

Over ten years of coaching and managing youth soccer and baseball teams for kids aged five to fifteen, Jim led some of the best teams in town. His passion for fostering positive connections with both players and parents shines through in this book, which blends teaching skills with meaningful life conversations.

Jim's coaching experience also benefited his professional life, helping him rise to the position of manager in the Purchasing department of his company. An avid golfer, he now enjoys serving as the president of his town's golf league.

In writing this book, Jim aims to share the valuable lessons, insights and skills he gained through coaching, along with the humor and joy of interacting with the kids and their parents.
