About the author; Hon. James (Jim) Boynton. Jim holds dual majors in Business and Accounting and a minor in Computer Science. He pursued a direct Masters and Doctoral program (University closed and he was not able to complete his Doctoral dissertation) for a PhD in Organizational Management.
An accomplished national and international speaker. He has been published in numerous conference journals, periodicals and editorials, and his respected and awarded work is widely recognized. He, under a pseudonym of Shane Roberts wrote and published his book The New Green Deal; Back to the Stone Age.
With over 58 years of industry, university instructing, consulting and farming experience, Jim has held significant roles, including President and CEO of Focus NH Institute, and leadership roles in international organizations such as APICS and ASQ. He has, on an executive level contributed to education reform at the Governors request, and has developed and deployed a complete course of study for collegiate use sanctioned by the NY Board of Regents. Additionally he developed and taught a 16 segment course of study, requested by the Dean of Engineering, at the University of New Hampshire.
Jim has a political career of five years in the NH House and served as a county commissioner for a county of 300,000 people. He ran for NH State Senate and was serving his town in public service roles for 20 years, including service as an economic development director where he earned the states honor of a House declaration of accomplishment for developing a very successful economic development area that needed jobs, services and employment for a five city area.
Jim served a combined 23 years including active service at sea, and with the Navy Seabees. He also served with the Massachusetts National Guard in support and operational roles where he was selected for a commission.
Retiring in 2004 Jim moved to Tennessee where he bred rare Arabian horses until an old military injury, a broken and fused neck ended his farm career in 2014. He now resides in a community on the Cumberland Plateau, in a secluded community, enjoying a peaceful life amidst nature where he continues writing.
