Holly Current

Living in St. Albert, AB with her supportive husband, two energetic kids, two cats, and a Golden Retriever named Barkley, Holly Current is the author of two children’s books: Rupert Goes to Pet School and her latest release, Santa’s Skates.

From a young age, Holly has been an avid reader and writer, always creating stories for fun. Becoming an author has long been her dream—a dream she continues to pursue not only for herself, but to show her children that moms have big dreams, too! She believes you are never too old to chase your passions and hopes to inspire her kids and young readers to always follow their creative spark.

Holly holds a Bachelor’s degree in History from the University of Calgary and a Bachelor of Education from St. Mary’s University College. While she previously worked as an elementary teacher, it was the creative side of teaching she loved most—encouraging students to use their imaginations and explore their own stories and ideas.

When she’s not writing, Holly enjoys reading a wide range of genres, cooking new recipes with her husband, and spending quality time with friends and family. She finds joy in life’s small moments and believes every day holds the potential for adventure and growth.
