G. David Schieffler

G. David Schieffler, Ph.D., is a history faculty member at Crowder College in Neosho, MO, where he received the 2023 Missouri Governor’s Award for Excellence in Teaching. He is the associate editor for H-CivWar, has articles published in _The History Teacher_ and the Virginia Center for Civil War Studies’ _Essential Civil War Curriculum_, and is currently writing a book about the natural environment’s pivotal role in the 1863 Helena Campaign.
