Phil Wetjen recently retired from a career in IT, where his role as a project manager allowed him to travel internationally, with extended assignments in Japan, China, Mexico and the UK. With retirement has come time for writing, including stories based on his years in the Pacific Northwest. Many of the events in these stories are based on the ‘character building’ jobs Phil had before embarking on his IT career.
Phil resided in Kurashiki, Japan from 1990 to 1992. During that time, he studied Japanese language and literature.
Phil Wetjen’s fiction has appeared in the Clackamas Literary Review. His non-fiction work has appeared in the North Meridian Review, Critical Asian Studies and Beatdom. He studied Economics at Binghamton University. Phil recently released his third novel on Amazon.
