Sivaraj Ramasamy, an IAA Award-winning author and software engineer from Vellakoil, a small town in Tamil Nadu's Tirupur District, has been recognised as a 'Distinguished Alumni' by Sri Krishna College of Technology, where he completed his Bachelor of Engineering degree in Computer Science.
Sivaraj also won a school adoption sponsorship project competition worth 5 lakhs conducted by HCL IT Company, which enabled him to develop the infrastructure of a government school in his hometown.
On weekends, Sivaraj dedicates his time to volunteer activities with various NGOs, a commitment he has upheld for the past 15 years. He also has a passion for travelling to historical places in India.
Through these endeavours, Sivaraj has gained extensive knowledge about the social sector and the various socio-economic aspects of people's lives. This is his first book, where he shares his experiences in volunteering. He aims to dispel the myth that community service requires a lot of money, emphasising that social service requires your time, not your money.
In his professional career, Sivaraj has received numerous awards for his contributions to the software company where he works. He has also served on the interview panel at Infosys IT Company, interviewing over 100 candidates during his tenure.
