Elena Piccardo was born in 1987 in Liguria, Italy. She has nurtured a passion for writing since childhood, but it was only in 2018 that she began taking part in literary competitions, where her work was met with encouraging recognition. This experience gave her the confidence to share her writing with a wider audience, leading to the publication of her debut book, Sterilis, with a traditional publisher.
She then embarked on her first independent project: The Extinct Seeds Saga (Last Messages, The Jade Tree, The Ghost Orchid, and The Garden of Ether)—four stand-alone novels, each unique yet connected through Gustavo, the ghostly protagonist who threads their stories together.
Her journey continued with Playlist, a collection of award-winning short stories. Most recently, breaking away from her usual narrative style, she ventured into darker and more unsettling themes with The Echo of the Hammer.
