Peng Xu has been focusing on AI for system security, system security for LLM, graph neural networks, program analysis, compiler design & optimization, and cybersecurity for the past several years. He finished his Master’s studies at the Chinese Academy of Science in 2013. He has been pursuing his Ph.D. degree in IT security at TUM from 2015 to 2019 and is waiting for his doctoral dissertation defense recently at the same university. Peng’s research topics include malware detection, private computation, and software vulnerability mitigation using compiler-based approaches. Peng is currently working as a principal engineer in compiler optimization and programming large language models, especially on the topics of using large language models to generate code blocks, detect malicious code, and localize bugs.
