Jack W. Burtch

Jack Burtch (JB) has practiced labor and employment law in Richmond Virginia since 1973. For over thirty years, he's been an adjunct professor of law, teaching Negotiations and Client Counseling at the University of Richmond School of Law. He has been an associate in a large law firm, a partner in two other law firms and now practices in his son's firm, Burtch Law PLLC. JB has been elected to the Virginia Lawyers Hall of Fame.

Teaching and mentoring are his passions. Noticing a growing gap between how law schools prepare students and how law firms want students prepared, he wrote "Raising the Bar, The Mentor Guidebook for New Lawyers," published by Routledge.
