Paul Timothy Jensen was raised in Tokyo, Japan before graduating from North Park University in Chicago (BA). He subsequently attended Trinity Evangelical Divinity School (M.Div; ThM), the University of Virginia (PhD) and the University of Iowa (JD). He taught philosophy at Augustana College (Rock Island, IL) and the University of Dubuque (Dubuque, IA) until his retirement in 2016. He continues to practice law with the Alliance Law Office and is licensed in Iowa and Illinois. He has published three books: Tools for Young Philosophers: The Elements of Philosophy (2011); Fantasy Land: Anti-Realism in America (2022 with Sean Benson) and Thinking About God Again, For the First Time (2024). Paul’s wife, Sharon Kleinhuizen Jensen, is a concert pianist, recently retired from full time college teaching. Paul and Sharon have three grown children and four grandchildren. In their spare time they ski, sail, SCUBA dive and participate in sprint triathlons. They are active members of Hope Free Church in Dubuque.
