Dr. Jennifer Dungy is a licensed minister, evangelist, preacher, and teacher. For several years, she has preached the Word of God, facilitated Bible Study on college campuses and in jails, ministered to people who are unsheltered and in need, taught adult Christian education, and she is a powerful prayer warrior.
She is also a Professor in the School of Criminal Justice at Michigan State University. She received her doctorate in the Department of Criminology and Criminal Justice at the University of Missouri – St. Louis. She is the award-winning author of Hands Up, Don’t Shoot: Why the Protests in Ferguson and Baltimore Matter and How they Changed America. Dr. Dungy has published more than 70 articles, is a gifted communicator, and sought after speaker. She has appeared on NBC, CBS, CBC, and NPR.
She is married to Anwar, and they are the parents of four children.
