David M. Giltner

David Giltner is the author of the books Shaping the World, It’s a Game, not a Formula, and Turning Science into Things People Need and and is an internationally recognized speaker on the value of scientists in the private sector. David has a BS and PhD in physics and holds seven laser technology patents.

Through more than twenty years working as a scientist in industry he learned much about how the private sector operates and where a scientist can bring the most value to a tech company. In 2017, he founded TurningScience to teach scientists how to work in the private sector as employees, collaborators, or entrepreneurs.
