I live in windswept Morecambe with my husband Jonathan after relocating him + our cats north from London in 2016, before we got too old.

In 2025 I self-published a humorous antidote to smug Christmas Round Robins: 'From London Houseboat to [derelict] Morecambe Mansion'. This after friends and acquaintances requested a compilation of my December satirical newsletters because they made them laugh aloud, despite Christmas.

Having travelled widely, I've also lived in Miami and the south of France. 'The Cannes Affair' - my 2025 spoof detective novel - is set loosely in an old tall house in Boulevard Victor Tuby where we had a flat, back in the day. I've enjoyed giving readings

from both this novel and the one above at Lancashire libraries and bookshops, to lovely audiences.

Dreaming as a child of being an author, I didn't get my first novel 'Rising to the Surface' out until 2007 (reissued 2012) due to being crippled by Perfectionism.

This has worn off.

While acting as a mental health advocate for OCD Action, I was commissioned to write 'The Essential Guide to OCD: Help for Families and Friends' in 2013.

My poems have also been printed in several anthologies and I have a portfolio of published magazine articles, several of them illustrated by me.

Between fostering cats for Lancaster & Morecambe Cat Rescue, learning Latin and electric guitar (separately), writing, drawing, reading and scoffing-cake-then-jogging, I perform Standup comedy.
