Csaba Dioszeghy

Csaba Dioszeghy is a British–Hungarian physician, author, and educator who has spent three decades listening — to patients, to history, and to the quiet stories that hide beneath the obvious one.

A senior NHS consultant in emergency medicine and a university professor, Csaba has built his career at the sharp edge of clinical practice, where seconds matter and certainty is rare. That same instinct — the search for what the surface won't tell you — runs through everything he writes.

In Undiagnosed: The Impact of Stress and Emotions on Health, he turns his clinician's eye to the millions of people who are told their tests are "normal" yet know something is wrong. Drawing on the latest science of the mind–body connection and decades at the bedside, the book is part explanation, part roadmap, and wholly humane — written for anyone who has ever been sent home without an answer.

In Malta Unveiled: A Journey Through Time, he turns that same curiosity outward, to the sunlit limestone islands he has called a second home for years. Part history, part travelogue, part love letter, the book walks readers from megalithic temples to Knights' bastions to fishing-boat harbours, uncovering the layers most visitors never see.

When he is not in the resus bay, the lecture hall, or at his desk, you'll find Csaba in the cockpit as a private pilot, in the blue beneath Maltese cliffs as an advanced scuba diver, or sketching out his next journey. He divides his life between West Sussex in the UK and St Paul's Bay in Malta, with his family.

Whether you have ever left a consulting room with "we're not sure," or stood on an ancient wall and wondered who walked there first, his books are written for the same reader: the curious, the unconvinced, the ones who want to understand.
