Cameron Neil Wilson

Cameron Wilson moved to Jasper Alberta from Dryden Ontario as a young man in1976, where he resided until 2011.

He worked as a wildfire suppression specialist in summers, and as a ski instructor and head coach of the Jasper Alpine Ski Team during winters, before opening and operating ski and outdoor shops at Jasper Park Lodge and in Jasper Townsite in the 1990’s.

Cam and his wife Lydia and kids currently reside in Banff, where they have owned and operated The North Face Banff store on Banff Ave since 2011. Wild Mountain — their outdoor store in Jasper — was disabled by the great forest fire which swept through Jasper in July of 2024. His latent desire to write always seemed to take a back seat to everything else, until the inspiration in early 2022 that gave birth to what became “Ancestors: Great Spirit Remembers”.

It was completed in November of 2024 and published by Amazon Canada marketplace.
