Mark Stibbe

Mark has been writing books since he was 16 and has clocked up over 50 titles. His first book, a PhD on storytelling, was completed in the early nineties and published by the Cambridge University Press. Many of his titles over the next two decades were bestselling and popular works of religious nonfiction.

Mark then retired from the Church and started writing novels, specializing in what he calls mystical realism. A Book in Time was picked as the overall winner in the Page Turner Award for Fiction. He still writes nonfiction, including most recently Your heart Will Go On, and Story Structure 101.

His latest project is a series of supernatural thrillers starring Cameron Stone (a professor of history) and Maya Hailey (a former US pastor) who team up to solve mysteries that defy normal police procedures and scientific investigation. The first was Dead Man Talking. The second, Project Lazarus. The third will be published in 2026.

Mark is a full-time ghostwriter responsible for over 40 authors getting their books into print. His hobbies include dog walking and Lego (he was the official Lego reviewer for Sorted Men’s Magazine). He currently lives in Kent with his wife Cherith (from Northern Ireland) and their two Labradors - Bella and Phoebe.
