David Griffiths is an author, screenwriter and playwright from Liverpool, England.
Working alongside Liverpool’s artistic powerhouse, ArtsGroupie CIC, David has brought his passion for horror to the stage. Writing and performing an annual spoken word Ghost Stories for Christmas event with ArtsGroupie creative director John Maguire (which was featured in the New York Times) has showcased David’s work alongside horror icon Ramsey Campbell and comic book legend John Reppion.
David’s adaption of Charles Dickens classic ghost story, The Signalman, has toured Northwest England for consecutive years – performing in historic landmarks such as the
wheelhouse of Edge Hill railway station and prestigious theatres such as Shakespeare North Playhouse. His latest production, The Hammer and Helena, was first performed at the Unity Theatre Liverpool in November 2024.
His new horror anthology, ‘Comfort and Joy: Festive Frights for Silent Nights‘ is released in December 2024.
