K.M. Huber

K. M. Huber, she/her, grew up in Seattle, studied theater in Oregon, moved to NYC, wrote poetry, and got her MSW from Columbia University. After working in the city for a decade, she moved to her husband's hometown of Lima, Peru.

While raising their family, they lived in Bolivia, Costa Rica and Atlanta before returning to Lima. Huber continued working with educational organizations, coordinating cultural programs, and writing. Her research into the Nazca region led to making an award-winning documentary short about deforestation in southern Peru with Peruvian filmmaker Delia Ackerman. In 2023 her novel "Patya y los Misterios de Nasca", translated by Lucho Zuñiga, came out in Peru.

Huber’s essays, poems and stories have also appeared in Earth Island Journal, Rougarou, MacGuffin, Post Road, and Crack the Spine, among others. She and her husband currently reside in Tennessee.
