Amon Delphi

Amon Delphi lives alternately in Switzerland and Germany. A travelling literary ‘part-time farmer’ with a penchant for precise but also humorous observations. The plots always tread the fine line between fiction and reality, the characters in their always absurd work and life situations held together by love and poetry make it easy to personalise them and defy the challenges of a slightly exaggerated everyday life, which is not everyday after all, together with the protagonists.

In the background are the themes of the time: migration, gentrification, the reduction of everything and everyone to economics, eroticism or outdated power structures that were probably already obsolete during the Cold War. The adventure of research also plays a strong role in the stories.

His ‘Zurich Trilogy’ builds on each other in terms of storylines and characters. The first volume, ‘The Ship of Fools’, is also available in English.

Amon Delphi, a child of the early 60s, loves animals, travelling, music and interesting books.
