Steve Turk

Steve Turk is the author of Hospitality Unlocked and The Moonlight Table, a hotel developer, and a hospitality entrepreneur based in Miami. His writing draws on a career spent behind the scenes of hotels and resorts, where he discovered that the moments people remember often begin with someone making them feel welcome.

His first book, Hospitality Unlocked, brings together stories, advice, and lessons from 75 hospitality leaders. Inspired by conversations on his podcast, The Hospitality Mentor, it explores the people behind the industry and the experiences that shaped their careers.

His second book, The Moonlight Table, brings that world to young readers. Inspired by his children, Sophia and Zachary, the picture book follows two siblings at a Miami Beach resort as an unexpected rainstorm turns a carefully planned feast into an adventure in teamwork, friendship, and belonging. As a father, Steve wanted to give his children a story that opened the doors to the hotel world he loves.

Beyond the page, Steve is a partner in Baya, a resort development venture, co-founder of vacation rental management company Tangy Management, and founder of Biscayne Coffee. He also hosts The Hospitality Mentor podcast, sharing conversations with the people who shape hotels, restaurants, and travel. These experiences inform his writing for both adults building their careers and children discovering the world.
