Anthony Novaes

Anthony Charles de Novaes da Silva is a Brazilian Attorney working at the intersection of Law and Innovation. He holds a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) degree and a Master’s degree in Linguistics from Universidade Presbiteriana Mackenzie (UPM), whose research focused on Plain Legal Language. He also holds MBA degrees in Digital Business (USP) and Insurance Law (ENS).

He is a guest lecturer at undergraduate and graduate courses in Brazil and Latin America and speaker. Director of the Law journal "Revista Brasileira de Direito e Inovação" (RBDI). Certified in Ethics, Technology and Public Policy for Practitioners (Stanford University) and Legal Design Expert Practitioner by Legal Creatives.

Author of Brazilian and international legal articles and books, including the first Legal Design book in Spanish. An academic researcher, he is a member of prestigious institutions such as (i) Berkeley Center on Comparative Equality and Anti-Discrimination Law (BCCE), (ii) Center for Artificial Intelligence (C4AI/USP), (iii) CLARITY International, and (iv) Brazilian Institute of Insurance Law (IBDS).

His main areas of interest and practice are: Legal Innovation, Legal Design, Plain Legal Language, Artificial Intelligence and Insurance Law.
