Caprecia Williams is an author who writes stories that celebrate resilience, growth, and the everyday experiences that connect us all. Born with cerebral palsy, she is passionate about creating characters who feel authentic, relatable, and empowered.
Her debut middle-grade novel, *Cinnamon James: A Roll Toward Greatness*, was inspired by her own experience running for student government in eighth grade. Through her writing, Caprecia hopes to help readers see that challenges do not define a person's potential.
"I wanted people with disabilities to feel more understood," she says. "It doesn't matter what you have or don't have. Despite what people may think about you—or what you think about yourself—you can do what you put your mind to. It may not turn out exactly as you planned, but just trying is success."
A military kid who moved frequently before settling in the South, Caprecia draws inspiration from personal experiences, family, faith, and everyday life. Her stories explore themes of perseverance, identity, friendship, and hope. She is currently working on several new books for readers of different ages and genres.
